Emmy Awards 2024: Το Shōgun έγραψε ιστορία και το Hacks έκανε την έκπληξη

Τα Βραβεία Primetime Emmy 2024 ολοκληρώθηκαν, και η σειρά “Hacks” ήταν η μεγαλύτερη έκπληξη της βραδιάς, κερδίζοντας το βραβείο καλύτερης κωμικής σειράς έναντι του “The Bear.” Η τελευταία κατέρριψε το δικό της ρεκόρ, κατακτώντας συνολικά 11 βραβεία, τον μεγαλύτερο αριθμό Primetime Emmy που έχει κερδίσει ποτέ κωμική σειρά σε μια χρονιά.

Στην κατηγορία δράματος, το “Shōgun” του FX, το ιστορικό έπος με φόντο την Ιαπωνία, βασισμένο στο μυθιστόρημα του James Clavell, είχε μια εντυπωσιακή βραδιά, κερδίζοντας 18 βραβεία Emmy, συμπεριλαμβανομένου του βραβείου καλύτερης δραματικής σειράς, όπως αναφέρουν οι Los Angeles Times. Η σειρά είχε ήδη σπάσει το ρεκόρ για τα περισσότερα βραβεία Emmy που κέρδισε μια σειρά σε μια χρονιά κατά τη διάρκεια των Creative Arts Emmys της περασμένης εβδομάδας, οπότε τα βραβεία της Κυριακής προστέθηκαν στη συλλογή της.

Μεγάλη βραδιά και για τη μίνι σειρά “Baby Reindeer”, το σκοτεινό, βρετανικό δράμα του Netflix που αφηγείται την ιστορία ενός μπάρμαν και φιλόδοξου κωμικού, του Donny Dunn, που τον παρακολουθεί μια εκκεντρική γυναίκα που γνωρίζει στο μπαρ όπου δουλεύει. Η σειρά κέρδισε το κορυφαίο βραβείο στην κατηγορία της, ενώ ο δημιουργός Richard Gadd κέρδισε βραβεία για το σενάριο και τον ρόλο του σε μίνι σειρά. Βραβείο ερμηνείας κέρδισε και η Jessica Gunning, η οποία υποδύεται τη Martha, τη γυναίκα που καταδιώκει τον χαρακτήρα του. Το “Baby Reindeer” βασίζεται στο αυτοβιογραφικό μονόλογο του Gadd με τον ίδιο τίτλο.
